Persuasion

Location: Chinese Turkestan

I used a synthetic paper called Yupo to create the unusual textures of the jackets and used the very bright white of the paper for the severe highlights of the bright mid-day sun. Titled "Persuasion", this painting was inspired by two characters in a Xinjiang market.
